Equipment Performance Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineer-level support on condition monitoring of rotating equipment.
  • Utilize various condition monitoring techniques, including vibration, oil analysis, thermography, video-scopy, online and offline data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Provide recommendations on maintenance needs to avoid major breakdowns of the equipment.
  • Support reliability improvement plans and initiatives based on condition monitoring parameters.
  • Monitor and track the condition of rotating equipment to identify developing faults or defects.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Carry out detailed analysis of condition-based data.
  • Monitor and analyze condition monitoring, vibration, oil analysis, wear particle, thermography, etc., and perform root cause analysis for actual and potential failures.
  • Identify inherent conditions leading to rotating equipment failure through various operational machine condition monitoring parameters.
  • Prepare corrective actions recommendations and initial damage reports to maintenance for follow-up and closure.
  • Aim to prevent failures using all possible condition monitoring data and information analytical tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge application of condition-based maintenance techniques with an ability to independently troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve equipment problems.
  • Basic knowledge of machine condition monitoring, balancing, alignment, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment maintenance techniques and types.
  • Familiarization with various vibration standards.
  • Basic understanding of rotor dynamics, mechanical design, equipment function, and construction.

Education and Training:

  • Necessary qualifications include a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and accredited vibration analysis training (Cat I).
  • Desirable qualifications include formal trainings in condition monitoring subject techniques from vendors, consultants, or reputed technical training institutes.
