The Audit Associate will perform audit procedures in complex areas, building technical competence and serving as the primary day-to-day contact for the audit client.
Audit & Assurance: Senior Associate/Senior
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients and engagement teams to drive business growth.
- Direct field work and ensure timely updates are provided to engagement leaders.
- Complete high-risk audit procedures to expand technical skills, including revenue recognition, expense management, property plant and equipment, financial instruments, and income taxes.
- Contribute valuable ideas and opinions to audit teams.
- Gain a thorough understanding of AKM service offerings.
- Prepare draft financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102).
- Ensure all work papers are complete, consistent, and contain procedures performed, evidence obtained, and conclusions reached with appropriate documentation.
A successful Audit Associate should:
- Possess sufficient technical knowledge to work independently on audit engagements, coordinating workflow and tasks with clients/engagement teams; resolving intermediate to experienced audit, accounting, and client service issues; updating work papers and other products produced with utmost quality for engagement teams; and ensuring engagement progression as planned and budgeted.
- Possess significant knowledge of audit methodologies and techniques in performing and assisting in external, internal, or statutory audits.
- Take ownership of delivering high-quality audit work. Develop self and others through engagement experiences.
- Execute fairly large areas of an audit engagement from planning to risk assessment to execution of substantive testing and working on test of details of significant accounts.
- Demonstrate professional skepticism and compliance with our risk management and independence policies.
- Build relationships across client offerings and seek opportunities to collaborate.
- Establish credibility through displaying good insight and business acumen, applying technical competence, and engaging in relevant discussions with clients and engagement teams.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
