Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Specialist to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to take on a challenging role and showcase their skills in network administration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre network, including installations, upgrades, migrations, incident management, performance tuning, reporting, and patching.

In this role, you will be working with a range of technologies, including switching, routing, and network equipment. You will also have the opportunity to work with leaf & spine architecture in data centres, as well as monitoring networks using tools like Cisco IOS, PRTG, NetFlow, etc.

You will be expected to manage large-scale data centre networks, configure and troubleshoot layer 2 protocols such as VLANs, Private VLANS, VTP, STP, DTP, Trunking, Stacking, Ethernet channel, DOT1Q, ISL, SVI, etc., as well as layer 3 protocols like BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Static Routing, High Availability Protocols, Floating Static Routing, Failover, etc.

Additionally, you will be required to provide support for IPv4, IPv6, NTP, ACLs, Route-map, Prefix-Lists, PBR, AAA, TACAS, RADIUS, CEF, IPv6 CEF, SLA, TRACK, SNMP, EEM, Syslog, Flow-export, RADIO, EVPN-VXLAN.

You will also be responsible for configuring and troubleshooting network load balancers, datacentre core switching and routing upgrades, and maintenance, managing router access control, performing fault management of routers and switches, executing corrective actions to resolve faults and ensure high network uptime, and deploying monitoring tools to identify problem areas and implementing early rectifications if required.

Fine-tuning the network periodically to ensure optimal availability, regularly checking the proper functioning of the network and assets deployed, and being well-versed with EMS tools are also essential responsibilities of this role.

Liaising with the DR team member to investigate network issues at the DC is also a key part of this job.
