Senior Data Automation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Automation Specialist to support our team in Bengaluru, India. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, collaborate with talented colleagues, and contribute to the success of a growing organization.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data automation solutions using Databricks and PySpark. They will also be involved in testing multiple phases of medium to large projects, ensuring that all testing is conducted efficiently and effectively.

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance on enterprise-level applications including Data Engineering and Data Warehouse Testing.
  • Knowledge of Azure, ADF, ADB, and Synapse is desirable.
  • Experience in automating QA testing using Databricks, building reusable functions and classes.
  • Ability to write complex PySpark and SQL queries, determine the types of testing required, and create comprehensive test plans that support business and technological solutions.
  • Experience in testing multiple test phases in medium to large projects.
  • Understanding of data warehouse and data mart testing, including identification and test data preparation techniques.
  • Extensive exposure to back-end/ETL testing with high-level SQL skills.
  • Experience with large data sets and understanding of Data Quality Frameworks.
  • Defect tracking experience, including Jira and Bugzilla.
  • Ability to tune SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects for performance improvements.
  • Knowledge of data models and entity relationship diagrams.
  • Familiarity with metadata management tools and data masking methodologies.
