Our company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Expert to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex mechanical systems and equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Meet with vendors and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to determine project specifications
  • Conduct research to inform design and engineering methods required for mechanical systems
  • Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs
  • Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine designs
  • Oversee development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing
  • Document design process, iterations, and test analytics
  • Liaise with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence
  • Prepare technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals
  • Stay up-to-date with latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Minimum 1 year experience as mechanical design engineer
  • Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Rhino
  • Solid understanding of design and engineering principles and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Attentive to detail and critically minded
