Lead Data Scientist Role Overview

The Lead Data Scientist is a key position in our Gen AI competency center. This role involves leveraging data, analytics, and artificial intelligence technologies to extract insights, build predictive models, and develop AI-powered solutions.

This includes Exploratory Data Analysis, Statistical Modeling, Machine Learning, Model Deployment, Integration, Model Monitoring, and Maintenance.

We deliver business solutions using multiple AI techniques and tools. The ideal candidate will have expertise in machine learning, especially in Generative AI (LLM/LMM) with a focus on Natural Language Processing or multi-modal models.

  • Run end-to-end initiatives: Business understanding, Data understanding/preparation, Modeling, Evaluation, and Deployment
  • Analyze and interpret findings
  • Draw conclusions and recommendations, including expected benefits and measuring ROI for enhancing business processes
  • Support pre-sales activities and initiatives

Key requirements include familiarity with machine learning concepts, experience with Python, SQL, and vector databases, as well as knowledge of specific DS/ML/CVGenAI/NLP libraries like NumPy, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace, LangChain, and GenAI APIs.

Nice to have: Experience in working with big data and distributed environments, commercial experience with multiple successful projects in Generative AI, NLP, or Computer Vision.

General skills include good computer programming skills, familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts, expertise in Azure cloud resources, Databricks, Docker for containerization, strong business acumen, and ability to come up with creative solutions to address customer problems.
