Key Roles and Responsibilities of an AI/ML Engineer

About the Position:

Nuvae is seeking a full-time AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy machine learning algorithms, GenAI, and RAG-based solutions for hospitals and healthcare practices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Designing and developing machine learning algorithms to drive business outcomes
  2. Deploying GenAI and RAG-based solutions to enhance revenue management and conversational AI capabilities
  3. Conducting research and testing models to ensure data quality and integrity
  4. Collaborating across teams for seamless integration into healthcare workflows and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A strong foundation in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks with a solid background in Computer Science and Algorithms
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and RAG systems
  • Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and tools including vector databases and prompt engineering
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field with excellent software engineering practices
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization as well as data pipelines and healthcare data standards

Desirable Qualities:

  • Knowledge of fine-tuning LLMs and prompt engineering techniques
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to work cross-functionally
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and continuous delivery
  • A passion for innovation and staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements
