Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our testing efforts and transition from manual to automated testing.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing a comprehensive test strategy, designing and implementing test automation frameworks, and mentoring team members in learning test automation practices.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive test strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives.
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks using tools like Playwright or Cypress.
  • Mentor and guide team members in learning test automation practices.
  • Conduct thorough testing across multiple browsers, devices, and environments to ensure product quality and functionality.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure the automation efforts align with CI/CD pipelines and integration requirements.
  • Take responsibility for the automation strategy, prioritizing areas of manual testing to automate based on business needs and product complexity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of manual testing experience, including strong knowledge of test planning, test case creation, and defect management.
  • Experience with test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.
  • A strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, or another scripting language is preferred for automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills
  • Prior experience transitioning from manual testing to test automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  • Knowledge of BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) frameworks is a plus.
