Senior Project Management Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our insurance vertical. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will play a key role in developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement test strategies for General Insurance and Life Insurance systems and applications.
  • Lead a team of testers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Allocate testing resources effectively, including testers, testing environments, and tools, to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts, and oversee their execution to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of life insurance applications.
  • Establish defect management processes and tools to track, prioritize, and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with testing activities, collaborating with project stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders, including business sponsors, project managers, and development teams.
  • Coordinate testing activities with external vendors and partners, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
Requirements
  • 20+ years of experience in software testing, with specific experience in the Insurance domain.
  • Proven experience in test management roles, with a track record of successfully leading testing efforts for complex software projects.
  • Strong understanding of life insurance products, processes, underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Preferred exposure in Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Motor Insurance, Travel Insurance, Property, and Casualty.
  • Ability to prepare scenarios and derive test cases from the same.
  • Knowledge of writing SQL queries, databases, and running basic SQL queries.
  • Experience with Test Management tools like Quality Center and Defect Management tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Advanced/PMP) is desired.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
