At WatchGuard Technologies, we're seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Threat Analyst to join our team. This role is critical for the success of our 100% Attestation service, a key feature of our Adaptive Defense platform.

About the Position

This position plays a key role in the classification of files that are blocked in clients and labeled as high risk by machine learning models. As a Cyber Security Threat Analyst, you'll be responsible for analyzing malicious and benign files, identifying potential threats, and developing new rules and technologies to improve automatic classification systems.

We're looking for an individual with extensive knowledge of malware analysis and reverse engineering of binaries. Previous experience in similar positions is desirable, along with the ability to work under an SLA and participate in continuous learning and technical knowledge improvement.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex malware code and identify trends and techniques used by cybercriminals. Additionally, they should have a strong background in cybersecurity, with experience working with malware in a lab setting and knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze new trends and techniques used by malware and cybercriminals
