Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Database Security professional to support our security initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Imperva Database Security, flexibility to work non-traditional shifts, and the ability to collaborate with both customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and implement database security solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather requirements, analyze data, and deploy tailored solutions.
  • Perform system changes and updates to support global teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to firewalls, network connectivity, and server performance.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or similar languages.
  • Update documentation and tooling to improve incident response and operational readiness.
  • Support post-incident reviews and ensure learnings are documented and actioned.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of alerting systems and operational workflows.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in cybersecurity or infrastructure.
  • Must have hands-on experience with database security.
  • Strong background in Linux, System Administration, OS/Server Administration, and Firewall troubleshooting.
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Python, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently during non-traditional shift hours and occasionally sync with the team at a designated time.
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
