Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Extraction Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our analytics department, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust web scraping solutions to extract structured and unstructured data from various websites and APIs.

Your primary objective will be to use tools like Python, Selenium, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, and Pandas for data scraping and processing. You will need to build and manage automated scripts to scrape dynamic websites, including handling JavaScript-driven content.

To achieve this, you will need to optimize scraping workflows to ensure data extraction is efficient, accurate, and scalable. Additionally, you will work with APIs to gather and integrate data, ensuring proper rate limits and authentication handling.

You will also be responsible for cleaning, preprocessing, and storing extracted data in databases (SQL) or cloud-based systems.

Collaboration with data analysts and other stakeholders will be essential to provide required data for further analysis and reporting.

Debugging and troubleshooting issues in scraping pipelines and scripts will also be part of your responsibilities.

In order to comply with ethical data scraping standards, including legal considerations like website terms of use and robots.txt policies, you will need to have a good understanding of these topics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in web scraping and data extraction.
