We are seeking a highly skilled MEP design engineer to develop innovative plumbing and firefighting systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing MEP systems, with at least 10-25 years of experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating concept designs, schematic designs, design developments, and construction designs for plumbing and firefighting systems. This involves working closely with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that the designs meet their requirements and specifications.
The role also entails preparing tender drawings, shop drawings, and material lists, as well as coordinating with suppliers and contractors to obtain quotations and technical documents.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for taking off BOQs, preparing information regarding design, structure specification, material, equipment, estimated cost, and construction time, and consulting with consultants to determine function and spatial requirements of MEP.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also be able to plan and prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Develop concept design, schematic design, design development, and construction design of plumbing and firefighting systems.
- Prepare tender drawing of plumbing and firefighting system.
- Provide calculated note if required.
- Prepare shop drawing for submission and resubmission.
- Select and prepare materials for submission.
- Contact supplier to request quotation and technical documents.
- Take off BOQ of firefighting and plumbing system.
- Prepare information regarding design, structure specification, material, equipment, estimated cost, and construction time.
- Consult with consultant to determine function and spatial requirements of MEP.
- Closely coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Architect, and Structure Team.
- Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawing and specification documents.
- Plan layout of the project.
- Prepare scale drawings.
- Collaborate with supervisor in preparing technical report and installation on site.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
