**Job Description for Senior Cloud Software Engineer**

At CarDekho, we're seeking a seasoned Software Development Engineer I to play a pivotal role in building our next-generation digital lending platform.

We're looking for a skilled technologist who is passionate about solving complex software engineering problems in a scalable and maintainable way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Scalable Back-end and Front-end Components: Build highly available and scalable back-end, front-end, and database software components using modern technologies.
  • Mentor and Grow Software Engineers: Collaborate with junior engineers, provide guidance, and help them identify and develop innovative product features.
  • Implement Critical Components and Define Architectural Vision: Work closely with partner teams to define the architectural vision, implement critical components, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Develop Automated Tests and Deliver High-Quality Code: Write automated tests, deliver high-quality code to production within a short development cycle, and work in a continuous integration and delivery environment.
  • Propose, Design, and Build Innovative Tools and Frameworks: Develop tools and frameworks for use by the engineering team, contributing to their growth and success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: BTech/MTech/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in building cloud software services and systems for web-scale products.
  • Programming Languages: Expert-level proficiency in modern programming languages like TypeScript/JavaScript, NodeJS.
  • Database Skills: Experience with SQL (MySQL & Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB or similar), data pipelines with Kafka, RedShift, etc.
  • Frontend Technologies: Hands-on experience building frontend applications using technology like ReactJS, NextJS & ReactNative.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
