Lead Data Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team.

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data engineering solutions.

  • Our ideal candidate has a strong background in AWS services, Python, Pyspark, and data modeling.
  • They have experience working with columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualization, and unstructured data.
  • Additionally, they should have knowledge of ETL, data mining, Data Warehousing, and segmentation techniques.
  • Experience working with databases (Azure SQL, MSQL), data lakes (e.g., Azure Data Lake/Delta lakes), processing tools (e.g., Databricks/HDInsight), and BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is also required.
  • Our Lead Data Engineer must have excellent analytical skills and a quick grasp of new technologies.
  • They should also be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills:
  • AWS Services: Experience working with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python and Pyspark.
  • Data Modeling: Knowledge of data modeling concepts and experience designing data models.
  • Database Management: Experience working with columnar and NoSQL databases.
