Process Skid Design Engineer

This is a challenging role for a Process Skid Design Engineer to work on oil and gas projects.

  • We are looking for a skilled engineer to perform structural analysis for static, dynamic, wind, seismic, and lifting conditions using software like RFEM or SAP2000. The successful candidate will ensure structures are designed to handle loads from piping, equipment, electrical trays, and instruments.
  • The ideal candidate will collaborate with process, piping, and electrical/instrumentation teams to finalize skid layout. They will ensure the skid base and structural members accommodate penetrations, supports, and interface loads.
  • The selected individual will develop and review 3D models using Tekla or similar software and generate 2D fabrication drawings. They will create GA drawings, assembly drawings, and connection details per project standards.
  • The Process Skid Design Engineer will also ensure construct ability of design in coordination with fabrication vendors. They will review vendor documents for skid base frame, gratings, ladders, lifting lugs, and transport skids.
  • The candidate must ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards such as AISC, Eurocode, IS 800, ASME, DNV, and project-specific specifications.
Requirements:
  • B.E, M.Tech degree in relevant field
  • 10-15 years of experience in process skid design engineering
  • Proficiency in software like RFEM, SAP2000, and Tekla
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
