We are seeking a senior climatologist to anchor the development of our AI-powered Marine & Aviation Intelligence platform.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in climatology, atmospheric science, and weather modeling, with a strong background in data analysis and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Curate and analyze large climate datasets (ERA5, CMIP6, IMERG, HYCOM, CMEMS) to develop predictive models for ocean currents, waves, and tides.
  • Forecasting: Collaborate on the design of AI-driven rainfall and ocean current forecasts, ensuring accuracy and reliability against historical data.
  • Mentorship: Guide the AI/data science team on climatological best practices and provide expert advice on extreme events (monsoons, cyclones, storm surges, turbulence corridors).
  • Domain Leadership: Represent the organization in collaborations with international climate centers and contribute to the development of unified climate models.
Requirements
  • PhD/Master's in Climatology, Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, or related field.
  • 10+ years research or applied experience in climatology/weather modeling/marine or aviation meteorology.
  • Proven expertise with datasets like ERA5, IMERG, CMIP, HYCOM, WaveWatch III.
  • Strong coding skills in Python (xarray, netCDF4, numpy, matplotlib); GIS a plus.
