Software Testing Specialist Job Description

The Mobile Tester Role Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scope of Testing: Define the scope of testing within each release or delivery
  • Provide status to the Test Lead or Manager
  • Support the testing team
  • Work closely with BA's, functional leads, and Development teams
  • Assist in test planning and manage the testing effort for releases
  • Design test scenarios and test cases
  • Track and report bugs
  • Coordinate defect resolution

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in e-commerce domain with expertise in mobile and web testing
  • Good API testing skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SDLC phases and methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile)
  • Proficient in writing and executing test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience in Integration Testing, Functional Testing, Black Box Testing, User Acceptance Testing, System Testing, Smoke Testing, and Regression Testing
  • Ability to identify test scenarios, estimate test effort, and create test plans
  • Working experience with Jira and Agile-driven projects
  • Good performance testing and Firebase Analytics skills
  • Advantageous to have experience with mobile testing tools
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Effective managerial and testing techniques
  • Ability to interact with technical teams
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Experience in preparing test data, test cases, and test execution
  • Client-focused service delivery
