Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Data Specialist to join our team at Esri India. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geospatial data to support informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate should have minimum 4+ years of experience in a Data Specialist role and be knowledgeable with various ESRI products including ArcGIS Enterprise, Image Analyst Extension, and Data Reviewer Extension.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to comprehend data requirements, collaborate on projects, and ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through quality checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Management: Search, collect, process, and manage large datasets, including GIS data, satellite imagery, and other spatial data sources.
  • Validate and ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of spatial data.
  • ETL operations: ETL operations between GIS applications/database using Esri Desktop or Server.
  • GIS Analysis and Mapping: Conduct spatial analysis, map creation, and geospatial model development to aid various projects and initiatives.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through quality checks and resolution of data discrepancies using ArcGIS Data Reviewer.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and ensure smooth project execution.

Desired Skillset:

  • Experience with Image analysis: Familiarity with Image processing techniques.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve issues proactively and provide recommendations to business partners, peers, and various levels of management.

Non-negotiable Skills:

  • Working knowledge on imagery-based data creation on Esri platform.
  • Master's degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills.
