Position: Software Engineering Team Lead - API Development Expert

Experience: 10+ Years of Experience in API Development and Leadership.

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned API Development Team Lead with over 10 years of expertise in designing, developing, and leading API-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers, architects, and engineers to build scalable, secure, and efficient APIs that support our business objectives. As the API Lead, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, understand business needs, and translate them into technical requirements, ensuring seamless integration across platforms.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Management and Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of experienced software engineers in API development.
  • Allocate tasks, set milestones, and monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving.

2. API Development and Architecture

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of APIs to meet business needs.
  • Define and enforce standards for API versioning, error handling, and documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Ensure APIs adhere to security and compliance standards, such as OAuth and JWT.

3. Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, frontend/backend teams, and DevOps, to align on requirements and integration strategies.
  • Act as a technical liaison for API consumers, both internal and external, to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.

4. Process Improvement

  • Evaluate and implement tools for API management, such as Postman, Swagger, and Apigee, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish best practices for API development, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality deliverables.

5. Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting

  • Monitor API performance using tools like New Relic or DataDog to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Resolve issues promptly to ensure system reliability and uptime.

6. Strategic Planning

  • Develop a roadmap for API development aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies to recommend new approaches and solutions.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ Years of Experience in .NET
  • 10+ Years of Experience in MS SQL
  • 5+ Years of Experience in React and other front-end technologies

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is ₹2,400,000.00 - ₹3,200,000.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
