Job Description:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated test scenarios to ensure the quality of software applications. Your expertise in software development and testing principles will enable you to collaborate with stakeholders during requirement gathering to understand business needs.

You will translate product requirements into effective test cases and participate in business requirement discussions to develop actionable test strategies. Additionally, you will lead discussions independently to clarify requirements and data dependencies, and work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities include contributing to test strategy and planning for new features and enhancements, maintaining traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects, and performing functional automation activities such as unit testing, API testing, security testing, DevOps and performance testing, and stress testing.

Furthermore, you will prepare and maintain test reports, mentor team members in automation design, best practices, and implementation, and identify areas needing continued adjustment to create an optimal user experience.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of SDET experience with exposure to trade life cycles and financial processes testing.
  • Strong understanding of trade life cycle and related financial processes.
  • Proven ability to lead requirement discussions and derive test cases independently.
  • Familiarity with test management tools including Java 8, JUnit, SoapUI, Postman, Selenium, TestNG, JavaScript, Jest, Rest Assured, Cucumber, and TDD BDD & Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience in testing REST APIs and messaging solutions, relational/NoSQL database concepts, framework ownership, test strategy, and mentoring juniors.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced Agile/Scrum teams and possessing excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
