Senior Oracle Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle administration and expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Oracle databases on premises and in AWS RDS.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing hybrid cloud database solutions aligned with business requirements, developing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell, and Terraform, and migrating on premises databases to AWS using DMS, DMS CDC, and custom CDC scripts.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining the health, performance, and security of a hybrid cloud database environment, supporting production environments with strong troubleshooting skills, implementing cost optimization strategies, and ensuring efficient utilization of database resources.

A successful Senior Oracle Database Administrator will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues in hybrid cloud environments. They will also have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of Oracle administration
  • Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Oracle databases on premises and in AWS RDS
  • Experience with hybrid cloud database solutions
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform)
  • Knowledge of AWS services (DMS, DMS CDC, custom CDC scripts)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
