Project Manager Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will play a vital role in the creation of print and digital publications.

You will work closely with stakeholders, system owners, and publishing services employees to translate technical production requirements into publishing processes.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating print and digital publications, designing packaging, and preparing materials for production.

They will also check and proofread content, use internal or external resources, and adapt artwork for different markets.

Additionally, they will negotiate with vendors, coordinate procurement, and solve routine problems with guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Producing a print-ready and digital copy of each publication, including sleeve design or other packaging, point-of-sale, and advertising materials.
  • Checking copy and proof where relevant.
  • Using in-house and external resources for various production steps.
  • Adapting artwork for different territory or market releases.
  • Negotiating with vendors and suppliers and coordinating with procurement.
  • Developing a professional role with working knowledge in own discipline.
  • Solving a range of routine problems.
  • Analysing possible solutions using standard procedures.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of book project management experience.
  • Able to balance multiple priorities in a rapidly changing publishing environment.
  • Familiar with current trends in journalism and publishing.
  • Familiar with digital publishing platforms and social media.
  • Relevant experience in the publishing industry.
