Job Title:

Data Science Leader

Drive innovation and develop machine learning solutions to build industry-leading map products.

Work with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain applications in multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable data infrastructure and employ machine learning for global-scale digital map-making.
  • Build and test statistical models to improve internal data-driven processes and system control needs.
  • Act as an expert in areas of data mining, machine learning, statistics, and predictive analysis.
  • Lead predictive modeling or application teams on Core Map projects.

Required Skills:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Econometrics with emphasis on computational statistics/science/engineering, data mining, machine learning, and optimization.
  • 7+ years related professional experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge in one or more areas including data mining, machine learning, regression, classifiers, clustering, decision trees, Bayesian network analysis.
  • Knowledge of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Point Cloud Processing algorithms, SQL, Python, R, Matlab, SAS, shell script programming.
  • Experience with tools such as Pig, Hive, Hadoop, Spark for data extraction and data prep for analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development experience with Scala, Docker.
  • Development experience with GIS data, NoSQL (DynamoDB).
