Healthcare Data Engineer Role Overview

As a key member of our team, you will demonstrate integrity and compassion while showcasing a deep curiosity for solving complex problems in the healthcare data and analytics space.

You will provide technical expertise as an engineer on an agile development team to design and deliver a next-generation healthcare data and analytics platform. You will bring experience in designing and implementing data-intensive and distributed systems to create innovative solutions and collaborate with your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product owners, systems analysts, and software engineers to deliver against an agile roadmap
  • Work with architects and software engineers to evaluate functional and non-functional requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain data-intensive applications using Java, Azure, AWS, Databricks, Spark, relational, and non-relational data storage, APIs
  • Follow and improve processes for continuous delivery and DevOps within your team
  • Build and maintain software using configuration management and automation tools, deployment strategies/processes, monitoring tools

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing Java-based applications
  • 1-2 years' experience in Azure or AWS
  • 1-2 years' experience in Databricks
  • 1-2 years' experience in Spark
  • 1-2 years' experience in Snowflake
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs
  • 2+ years of experience in relational and non-relational database delivery
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile Delivery
  • 1+ years in DevOps Automation tools (Oozie, Python, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
