Senior Automated Testing Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Automated Testing Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automated test suites for web and mobile applications.

  • Develop and extend test frameworks in C# and TypeScript for API, integration and unit testing.
  • Configure and schedule nightly executions of UI tests using GitHub Actions.
  • Analyse test results, triage failures and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
  • Write clear, maintainable and reusable test code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Continuously improve test coverage, performance and reliability.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers on automation tools and techniques.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in test automation for web applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing.
  • Proficiency in C# and/or TypeScript with solid object-oriented programming fundamentals.
  • Experience building and maintaining test frameworks e.g., NUnit, xUnit, Jest.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines, repos, artifacts and test plans.
  • Working knowledge of AWS provisioning, IAM and basic troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable with Git and modern development workflows feature branches, pull requests, code reviews.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with performance testing tools e.g., JMeter, k6.
  • Design and implement mobile-automation scripts.
  • Knowledge of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks e.g., Cucumber.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools e.g., Application Insights, CloudWatch, Datadog.
  • Certification in ISTQB, AWS or Azure DevOps.
