Senior Software Development Engineer in Test Role

This role requires a highly skilled individual to develop and maintain automated tests for both UI and backend systems using various frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

We are seeking someone who can design, implement, and refactor automation frameworks to ensure scalability, maintainability, and reusability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Automation Development:
    • Create automated tests for UI and backend systems using Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, Postman, and Cucumber frameworks.
    • Develop, enhance, and refactor automation frameworks to ensure scalability and maintainability.
    • Write test cases that cover functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
  • API testing:
    • Write automated API tests using RestAssured and Postman for validating RESTful APIs.
    • Create data-driven tests and automate API validation against different environments.
    • Ensure robust API coverage, including edge cases and negative test scenarios.
  • Agile and Continuous Integration (CI/CD):
    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
    • Ensure tests are executed as part of the build and deployment processes, reporting the results promptly.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies and work in an iterative environment.
  • Problem Solving and troubleshooting:
    • Exceptional technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyze complex issues and resolve them independently.
    • Ability to debug, isolate, and fix issues in both test code and application code.
    • Experience in performance testing, stress testing, and identifying potential bottlenecks.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
    • Partner with product management, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables.
    • Work closely with developers to design and implement test strategies that support development cycles and meet business requirements.
    • Lead cross-functional communication between engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure everyone is aligned on quality standards and release timelines.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with performance testing tools.
  • Knowledge of mobile test automation tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and services.
  • Experience in the game industry or with game-specific automation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for managing test environments.
