Network Software Engineering Opportunity

We seek an experienced Senior Network Software Engineer to design and develop cloud-managed networking software. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of network protocols, expertise in building distributed systems, and a strong background in software development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop network-focused software with emphasis on control and management plane protocols.
  • Create modules for network telemetry and REST APIs for performance monitoring.
  • Built software that leverages L2/L3 networking metrics (ARP, IP, VLAN, TCP/IP) for improved visibility and management.
  • Collaborate with architects and backend developers to design and optimize cloud-managed solutions.
  • Contribute to fault-tolerant, distributed architectures ensuring resilience and high availability.
  • Implement real-time communication using WebSockets.
  • Utilize containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for scalable deployments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
  • Strong software development skills (Python, Go, C/C++) with experience in production systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols across control, management, and data planes.
  • Solid understanding of L2/L3 concepts (ARP, VLAN, IP, TCP/IP) in software development.
  • Knowledge of real-time communication frameworks (WebSockets).
  • Experience deploying software in containers (Docker) and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Understanding of resilient system design, including redundancy and high availability.
