Job Title: Financial Accounting Specialist

As a Financial Accounting Specialist, you will be part of our Finance and Accounting team, working with experienced industry professionals to deliver services for day-to-day Finance and Accounts activities. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining books and records for different financial activities, coordinating and reviewing financial statements and associated reports, and communicating transactions associated with the account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining books and records for different financial activities.
  • Coordinating and Reviewing Financial Statements and associated reports including performance metrics/quarterly reporting.
  • Communicate the transactions associated with the account and work closely with internal and external clients to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages.
  • Coordinate of payments and other transactions
  • Supervise production analysts, review and signing off the work performed
  • Acting as primary contact for clients and other stakeholders
  • Meeting client expectations by monitoring timely delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables
  • Ensuring all escalations are addressed timely
  • Acting as primary contact for inter departmental reports.
  • Direct the team to manage timelines, workflows, and deliverables within agreed SLAs.
  • Monitoring progress of assigned team members for additional training and development

Requirements for this role include:

  • 4-5 years of experience in accounting for financial services sectors particularly Hedge Fund Accounting
  • Experience in reviewing financial statements
  • User experience with enterprise accounting system
  • 4-5 years of experience using MS-Excel that required you to use Formulas, Tables & Formatting, Conditional Formatting, Charting, Pivot tables & Pivot Reporting.
  • Independently handling of client calls and monthly and weekly reviews
  • Supervisory skills with 2-3 years of experience in managing the staff.
  • B.com is the desired educational qualification for this role.
