Solar Field Sales Role Overview

The Solar Field Sales role is a pivotal position within our organization, driving solar sales by developing and maintaining customer relationships, providing in-depth knowledge of solar energy products, and implementing sales strategies to achieve targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing customers in the assigned territory.
  • Identify and prospect new customers through networking, referrals, and cold calling.
  • Educate customers about the benefits and features of solar energy products and services.
  • Conduct onsite solar consultations and assessments for potential customers.
  • Prepare and present customized solar proposals to meet customer needs and budget.
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements with customers.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure accurate and timely solar system installations.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify sales opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process and after installation.
  • Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, manage leads, and generate reports.
  • Participate in sales training and continuous learning of solar industry trends.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies, plans, and promotional activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and community outreach programs.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in solar sales or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong technical knowledge of solar energy systems and products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite.
  • Understanding of solar regulations, incentives, and financing options.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for renewable energy solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Certification in solar energy or a related field is a plus.
