Software Engineer Role

As a software engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust automated test frameworks/test scripts to ensure the quality of microservices and front-end applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java-based microservices testing and UI automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks for Java-based microservices and UI applications.
  • Write and execute API test cases using tools like RestAssured or Postman.
  • Automate UI tests using Selenium or Cypress.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA leads to ensure quality is built into the development process.
  • Perform integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for microservices-based applications.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipeline integration for automated tests.
  • Debug failures, analyze logs, and report defects with detailed steps for reproduction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in automation testing.
  • Strong programming skills in Java.
  • Experience in testing Java microservices and REST APIs.
  • Proficiency in UI automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress).
  • Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber or JBehave.
  • Experience in version control systems like Git.
  • Exposure to build tools like Maven or Gradle.
