Job Title: Fund Accounting Manager

Fund accounting encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, with a primary focus on Private Equity and Alternative Investments. As a skilled Fund Accountant, you will utilize advanced software such as Geneva to perform calculations and reconcile outputs from brokers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily and monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) / Gross Asset Value (GAV) calculation and reconciliation
  • Manual Profit and Loss (PnL) and NAV calculations, ensuring accuracy and conformity with Geneva outputs
  • Processing and valuation of complex financial instruments, including Private Equity, Bonds, Forwards, Swaps, and other derivative securities
  • Regular cash and position reconciliations with brokers and custodians
  • Preparation and review of accounting entries in the Geneva software system
  • Managing end-to-end fund accounting and investment operations for assigned clients
  • Handling multi-currency portfolio accounting, income and expense accruals, and dividend processing
  • Preparation of financial statements according to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Coordination with auditors and support for year-end audit and financial closure processes
  • Calculation and preparation of drawdown, distribution, equalization, and waterfall amounts based on fund documents
  • Generation of accurate and timely investor capital statements and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with Geneva software (Advent Geneva preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles, with a particular emphasis on Private Equity and Alternative Assets
  • Hands-on experience with derivative securities, including Bonds, Swaps, Forwards, and other complex instruments
  • Sound understanding of GAV/NAV methodologies and concepts
  • Excellent analytical and manual calculation skills
  • Familiarity with global accounting and reporting standards (US GAAP, IFRS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
