**Job Description**

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of material handling equipment, including various types of belt conveyors, silos, hoppers, vibrating feeders, screens, dust extraction systems, trippers, belt feeders, belt weighers, magnetic separators, and bucket elevators.

  • Functional and technical knowledge of reclaimers, stackers, barge loaders, barge unloaders, truck loading/unloading stations, crushers, pneumatic conveying systems, diverters, slide gate valves, lifting devices (hoist and EOT cranes), etc.
  • Proficiency in conveyor belt design and 3D modeling software.
  • Ability to prepare process flow diagrams, schemes, and layouts for material handling systems in steel plants or power plants.
  • Creation of profile drawings, calculations, and general arrangement drawings for belt conveying systems.
  • Preparation of technical specifications for material handling equipment, such as reclaimers, stackers, screens, crushers, feeders, etc.
  • Compilation of BOQ or BOM for conveying systems.
  • Development of concept notes, flow diagrams, conveyor design calculations, GA drawings, and detail fabrication drawings of technological structures.
  • Procurement engineering of material handling equipment, including datasheet analysis, technical specification review, bid evaluation, vendor document review, etc.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Excellent software skills in Auto-Cad and MS-Office.

Minimum 5 years of experience in design engineering, preferably with a background in material handling equipment.

Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IS/CEMA/ISO, etc.).
