Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and enhancing our ISMS: This involves maintaining the ISMS, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing automation to streamline processes within the framework of ISO27001 wherever possible
  • Drive asset management: This means maintaining an inventory of all the organization's Information assets (hardware, software, data) and ensuring they are properly secured
  • Make sure that security policies, measures and procedures are implemented adequately: This means ensuring staff understand and follow the organization's security policies and procedures. This might involve training, communication, and audits
  • Drive security awareness strategy with KnowBe4: This involves developing and implementing programs to educate employees about information security best practices and how to identify and avoid security threats
  • Investigating incidents: In the event of a security breach or incident, this person would be responsible for investigating the cause, containing the damage, and preventing future occurrences
  • Conducting risk assessments: This involves identifying potential security threats and vulnerabilities to the organization's information assets, and evaluating the likelihood and impact of those risks
  • Developing plans to mitigate risks: Based on the risk assessments, this involves creating plans to address the identified vulnerabilities and reduce the risk of security incidents

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in information security or a related field like computer science, or a master's degree in a cybersecurity-focused area, is required for this position
  • At least two, ideally four years of professional experience in managing an ISMS
  • One of these certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
