Job Description:
We are seeking a Chief Quantitative Model Governance Specialist to join our team in India. This is a full-time role, and the timings will be as per the India Business Unit.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing model validation activities, including validation, annual review, ongoing monitoring, findings management, and model use approvals for low-, moderate-, or high-risk models. You will lead a team of junior quantitative model validators to test and evaluate the conceptual soundness of models and assess limitations and suitability for use.
You will subject matter expert in a key model risk area such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Statistical and Stochastic processes, or Insurance and Actuarial Modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for validation scripts, validation report, and report reviews of low-, moderate-, or high-risk model validations.
- You will establish the scope and testing of low-, moderate- or high-risk models validations, providing guidance as necessary on complex issues.
- You will consult with model owners and model developers to promote best practices and resolve questions or deficiencies.
- You will conduct and manage annual reviews of low-, moderate-, or high-risk models.
- You will support model governance policies and procedures, templates, and risk reporting and provide level 2 technical support to business.
- You will provide leadership, coaching, and development to direct reports; deliver timely feedback/coaching and formal performance review discussions; assess employee professional growth/career opportunities and collaborate on development plans. Provide guidance to indirect reports and other members of the team.
Requirements:
- You must have experience in model risk management in banking or insurance.
- You must have a Master's degree in science, math, statistics, or related area.
- You must have previous people leadership experience.
- You must have proven ability to apply both strategic and analytic techniques to provide business solutions and recommendations.
- You must be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- You must have proven success in communicating complex information to senior management in a compelling fashion.
- You must have strong collaboration & influencing skills.
Salary: The estimated salary for this role is ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,800,000 per annum, depending on experience.
