Job Title: Infection Control Specialist
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase awareness and drive demand for infection control products.
- Organize product demonstrations, workshops, and industry events to enhance product visibility.
- Create high-quality marketing materials and presentations to engage customers.
- Analyze customer needs, market trends, and potential opportunities for growth.
- Evaluate competitor offerings and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Analyze project pipeline and provide accurate forecasts for production.
- Demonstrate strong inventory management skills.
- Cordinate new product launches and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide product training to internal teams and external users.
- Regularly report on activities and progress.
Market Development:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing programs to create pull in the market for our range of IC products.
- Responsible for launching new products or product lines.
- Conduct and execute symposiums, marketing programs, CMEs, and conferences from initiation to execution with sales and head-marketing consultation.
- Identify and work closely with key architects, construction companies, and project consultants for business development.
- Provide product technical information to Bio-Medicals, CSSD Managers, technicians, IC Nursing Heads, Consultants by discussing and detailing feature benefits and precision execution of routine tasks.
- Create marketing tools and collaterals as needed.
Training Support:
- Responsible for training the IC product line.
- Initiate, conduct, and facilitate internal product and technical training for sales and other team members/distributors to meet objectives.
- Conduct operational training to end-users, follow-up trainings, and troubleshooting.
- Co-ordinate with other product managers for operational training to end-users during project completion/final handover.
Sales Support:
- Support the sales team with product knowledge, training, and strategic selling tools.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities with consumables and equipment bundles.
- Attend or drive product-related technical discussions for projects, tenders, and flow business.
- Handhold and develop new sales reps to ensure they are confident in promoting the product to customers.
- Closely work with the sales team to introduce and promote the product to consultants, architects, surgeons, technicians, purchase authorities during all pre-and post-sales activities.
- Provide cost support and attend commercial negotiations with the sales team when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in infection control, hospital administration.
Other:
- Track sales and organize stocks.
- Maintain and analyze sales data, taking corrective actions to address areas of concern with head-marketing consultation.
- Handle complaints related to products from customers on Equipment's and coordinate with appropriate personnel for feedback and resolution.
- Perform other duties assigned by seniors/management to support the team.
- Visit customers regularly individually and with sales colleagues.
- Ensure all marketing and product communications comply with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and quality certifications.
- Stay updated with evolving regulatory requirements and industry guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy.
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Healthcare Management (preferred).
Experience:
- 5–8 years of experience in medical equipment, devices, consumables preferably in infection control industry.
- Proven track record in managing technical products and consumables.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and healthcare workflows.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, operations, and sales teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms.
