Job Title: GIS Developer

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled GIS Developer to join our team. As a GIS Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing GIS solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement GIS solutions using various technologies such as GeoServer, ArcGIS Server, PostGIS, and ArcGIS GeoDBs.
• Develop and maintain geodatabases using PostGIS and ArcGIS GeoDBs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS solutions with other systems and applications.
• Perform data analysis and visualization using GIS tools and techniques.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS software and hardware.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 2+ years of experience as a software developer implementing GIS solutions.
3. Experience with publishing and administering map services using GeoServer and ArcGIS Server.
4. Experience with tuning and troubleshooting map services for optimal performance.
5. Knowledge of open-source GIS software such as GeoServer, PostGIS, GDAL, GeoPandas, and GeoSpark.
6. Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, Java, and TypeScript.
7. Experience working with ESRI APIs and tools (ArcObjects, Geoprocessing, ArcGIS Desktop/Server/Portal, ArcGIS Online).
8. Knowledge of web frameworks such as Angular, React, Node.js, and Openlayers.
9. Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Experience in a hybrid on-premise and cloud environment.
2. Experience in the upstream oil/gas industry.
3. Experience with technologies such as Google Big Query, Airflow, Elastic Search, Spark, Kafka, Git, Azure DevOps, Terraform, VS Code, and Kubernetes.
4. Ability to analytically address complex problems, process critical data, establish facts, and draw quality conclusions.
5. Ability to quickly learn and debug large complex systems in ambiguous situations.
6. Outgoing personality and a good team player.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in communicating with people at various levels of the organization.
