Job SummaryAs a Principal Engineer, you will lead the development team responsible for ensuring vehicle noise and vibration meet exceptional standards. You will oversee the NVH development process, guiding and tracking benchmarking initiatives to establish robust target settings.
- This role requires a deep understanding of NVH requirements and solutions across various vehicle architectures. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in applying vehicle NVH development tools and methodologies to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading the NVH development team, overseeing all phases of vehicle-level delivery throughout the development cycle
- Guiding and tracking vehicle benchmarking initiatives, establishing robust target settings for multiple vehicle programs to ensure excellence in NVH performance
- Reviewing and monitoring test plans while coordinating and executing NVH development activities during physical prototype stages through cross-functional team collaboration
- Delivering vehicle and system-level NVH performance targets across multiple domains, including BIW NVH, sound package NVH, trimmed body NVH, chassis engineering, CFM, suspension and tyre NVH, glass and seals, mounts, as well as seats and steering systems
- Meeting NVH targets for PT NVH, road noise, and wind noise will be critical
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Design Engineering from a reputed institution
- Excellent academic record, ideally with a GATE score above 90%
- Strong background in vehicle dynamics, acoustics, vibration analysis, and material science
The candidate should possess:
- Between 14 to 18 years of comprehensive experience in vehicle NVH development
- Proven expertise in applying vehicle NVH development tools and methodologies to diagnose and resolve complex NVH issues
- Grounded knowledge in vehicle NVH simulation techniques to predict and improve NVH performance early in the development cycle
- Proficiency with advanced NVH analysis tools, including test laboratories, Muller BBM systems, and sophisticated techniques such as ASQ, PCA, TPA, and Sound Power measurements
