Job Title: Atlassian Administrator

The role of an Atlassian Administrator involves working closely with senior technical management, product owners, and project managers to develop, design, and implement requirements. This includes helping deliver service improvements without unnecessary investment in new products by working smarter and providing better tools and better use of existing product sets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Improve alignment of technology solutions with operational areas to focus on practical delivery of solutions architecture
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for Atlassian Jira and Confluence and related add-ons
  • Provide ownership and regular updates of issues, including supporting users with best practice advice until requests are resolved
  • Evaluate, diagnose, research, analyze, and provide solutions to simple and medium-complexity problems encountered
  • Proactively plan to assess new upcoming features on cloud and communicate to users wherever applicable
  • Ensure adherence to security policy surrounding platform standards and provide engineering solutions as directed by the security product roadmap
  • Owns and manages user access permissions per security guidelines
  • Ensures effective communication across departments and geographically dispersed teams

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Extensive expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting, implementing, and supporting Jira and Confluence Cloud
  • Demonstrated ability in managing Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud within a professional environment
  • Acquaintance with Agile methodologies and cloud-based project management tools
  • Comprehensive understanding of security policies, user management, best practices, design, usage, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in a cloud-based setting
  • Proficiency in Shell, Python, and Groovy scripting for automating tasks
  • Strong knowledge in creating reports on Jira Dashboards and EazyBI
  • Outstanding implementation skills in managing Jira custom fields, workflow management, and developing common templates
  • Considerable experience in integrating Jira and Confluence with third-party tools
  • Proficient in cost optimization by identifying and substituting unnecessary plugins with cloud-native features

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Atlassian administration and troubleshooting
  • Extensive expertise in Jira and Confluence Cloud
  • Strong understanding of security policies and user management
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in Shell, Python, and Groovy scripting
  • Knowledge in creating reports on Jira Dashboards and EazyBI
