About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Specialist to join our team at ExxonMobil Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling shutdowns and routine maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance in planning and scheduling shutdowns and routine maintenance activities.
  • Define work methods, activities, resources, materials, and logical sequences to execute shutdowns and routine maintenance work.
  • Responsible for QA/QC and oversight of work delivered by 3rd party contractors.
  • Effectively communicate across various levels of the workforce, including 3rd party contractors, working-level teams, and asset leadership.
  • Mentor and develop early-career engineers and 3rd party contractor teams on shutdown and maintenance processes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of maintenance support work processes.
  • Bring continuous improvement of planning and scheduling processes through KPI monitoring and utilizing experience.
  • Develop and lead capabilities in teams for Lean Manufacturing and Maintenance optimization.
  • Lead and coordinate in operational readiness of new assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation, with a CGPA of above.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in oil and gas production or operations industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or shutdown planning and scheduling.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a lead position.
  • Experience in shutdown activities.
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance and shutdown execution, planning, and scheduling in the oil and gas industry.
  • Knowledge in shutdown management systems, CMMS work order management, resource leveling, material management, and KPIs.
  • Proficient in using various industry tools, including Primavera P6/MS Project for shutdown scheduling and CMMS (SAP PM/MM or Maximo) for delivering planning and scheduling work.
  • Thorough technical knowledge of various oil and gas industry equipment and services to deliver maintenance work packages.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Ability to understand and coordinate cross-discipline work with teams located remotely.
  • The role will be based in Bangalore and may require periods of business travel to production units.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Willing and able to take extended international business trips as needed to any of the company's production units.
  • Should be comfortable working in morning or evening shifts if required.
