Job DescriptionThis role involves guiding the development of a comprehensive Global Quality Services Framework and supporting the creation of software quality assurance test strategies. You will be responsible for defining performance and capacity requirements, as well as complex programming duties. Your tasks will include monitoring, validating, and planning performance and capacity, and programming Load testing scripts.
Key Responsibilities- IDentify, define, and mitigate complex issues, dependencies, and risks related to Performance testing.
- Determine testing scope and approach, and collaborate with cross-functional IT and business stakeholders to review and approve the overall testing approach.
- Ensure test plans and timelines align with project/program milestones.
- Lead and assist in the development of the quality assurance (QA) test project strategies, methodologies, and standard processes for moderately to highly complex IT initiatives across multiple QA domains by analyzing business and technology requirements to ensure testability and traceability.
- Reviews and validates testable business processes, test data, and test environment requirements.
- Defines and ensures adherence with entry and exit criteria according to Performance testing goals & standards.
- Manages the development of test scenarios/scripts and execution of test cases for UI and API workflows.
- Generates scheduled reports (e.g., test execution, defects, ad hoc reports) and provides daily test execution metrics to IT teams and management, as appropriate.
- Collaborates with cross-functional IT teams and test leads to gain buy-in and approval of test plans, and tracks quality metrics for Performance testing.
- Acquires additional trainings, guidance, mentoring on assessments, architectural reviews, tuning & recommendations from test leads as needed.
- Ensures quality metrics are tracked across testing phases of Performance.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in SQA, software testing, or a related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. In lieu of a degree, 3 years of equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement for a total of 8 years.
A minimum of 2 years' experience measuring system performance in a corporate environment.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in software or systems programming and/or scripting.
A minimum of 1 year in an informal leadership role working with technical teams.
Required Skills- Two years of experience working with Performance testing, Performance monitoring, Reporting and Analysis.
- One year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with leadership (e.g., Manager level and above).
- Two years of experience working with LoadRunner scripting. i.e. LoadRunner protocol.
- Two years of experience writing technical documentation in a software testing or quality assurance environment.
- Two years of experience working with integration technologies (e.g., web services, MQ).
- Two years of experience working with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.
- One year of experience working with TC protocol. (True Client Protocol)
