Overview of the Role:

Senior Registrar Position Available

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registrar to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and motivated individual to take on a senior role in providing high-quality medical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional clinical care to patients under consultant supervision, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and outcomes.
  • Lead junior medical staff and manage workload effectively in high-pressure environments, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, monitoring patient progress and updating case notes accordingly.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, code calls, and acute deteriorations in patient condition, demonstrating sound knowledge of hospital protocols and critical care procedures.
  • Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.

Supervision & Teaching:

  • Supervise and mentor junior registrars, residents, interns, and medical students, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
  • Participate in teaching rounds, clinical case discussions, and bedside teaching, sharing expertise and best practices with colleagues.
  • Contribute to structured academic sessions, journal clubs, and departmental CME activities, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.

Patient Management & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless patient care, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure proper discharge planning and follow-up care documentation, prioritizing patient satisfaction and continuity of care.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • MBBS with MD/MS/DNB or equivalent in relevant specialty, along with postgraduate diploma holders who can demonstrate relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of post-PG clinical experience, with preference given to candidates with tertiary care hospital or teaching institution experience.
  • Valid registration with State/National Medical Council, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong clinical acumen, leadership skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in EMR and hospital information systems.
