Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant to join our team in a challenging role where they will play a key part in making our business successful. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about numbers, has excellent analytical skills, and can work effectively in a team environment.

The Senior Associate Fund Accountant role involves working closely with our clients to provide high-quality fund accounting services. This includes preparing daily cash reports, reconciling movements in capacity, loan balances, and forecasting future cash flows.

Job Purpose:

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who is able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work independently with minimal supervision. We are looking for someone who is solutions-focused and able to work in unstructured environments with minimal or no supervision.

  • Prepare daily cash reporting for active private equity secondaries funds, including collating data from administrators, banking providers, and internal forecasts using internal data visualization tools.
  • Reconcile movements in capacity, loan balances, and forecast capacity to prior day reporting, adjusting manual forecast data for new deals and other uncertain cash flows based on the latest information.
  • Review cash management proposals from administrators for internal cash movements within fund structures and instruct them to make any additional cash movements as required.
  • Review short-term forecasts for each fund and vehicle to formulate proposals for near-term cash management, including loan drawdowns/repayments, Money Market Fund subscriptions/redemptions, and FX trades.
  • Liaise with fund owners within the Treasury team to review and agree proposals.
  • Prepare loan instructions and FX instructions to send to administrators and other 3rd party service providers.
  • Closely collaborate with the Treasury team, including daily meetings on cash management topics to discuss what's happened in the day, what to consider for the next few days, and medium-term investor cash flow planning.
Requirements:
  • Post-graduate qualification or CFA/CA/MBA/CCRA/CIIA/CAIA equivalent.
  • 9+ years of experience in fund accounting is preferred.
  • Managing and/or leading employees for 2-3 years.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of PCAP and quarterly preparing PCAP.
  • Ability to work hands-on, delving into projects with a strong attention to detail and emphasis on producing a high-quality work product.
  • Experience working independently, proactively identifying or initiating ways to enhance a process, procedure, or outcome that benefits the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize a large and varied workload, managing multiple tasks and details simultaneously.
  • Ability to show initiative, willingness to learn, and take on responsibilities as a contributing team member either in a lead or backup role to ensure team success.
  • Solutions-focused and able to work in unstructured environments with minimal or no supervision.
  • Willingness to acknowledge what is not understood and seek assistance.
  • Knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
