Investment Officer Position

The Chief Investment Officer is the investing engine of our company, owning the funnel from sourcing to execution and portfolio support.

This role involves crafting investment theses, building a high-quality deal pipeline, and running rigorous sectoral and company-specific evaluations. You will work closely with our founders and external partners to identify and activate opportunities that align with our strategy.

You will be responsible for developing and refreshing thematic theses, leveraging your network to find non-obvious opportunities, and representing our company at ecosystem events. Your goal is to curate 400-600 quality opportunities per year and advance 15-25% to deep dive, recommending 12-15 investments per year.

We are looking for an experienced investor or operator who can bring their expertise in unit economics, cohort retention, marketplaces, SaaS metrics, working-capital cycles, and path to profitability. A strong grasp of due diligence, financial modeling, and exit pathways is essential for this role.

As an Investment Officer, you will partner with our finance team to ensure compliance and record-keeping, maintain accurate closing files, and onboard new companies into our advisor network. You will also track portfolio health, prepare follow-on cases, and manage co-investor communications.

About the Role:

  • Sourcing & Thesis: Build and maintain a quality pipeline, develop and refresh thematic theses, and leverage your network to find non-obvious opportunities.
  • Evaluation & IC Prep: Run fast screens, build and audit financial models, and draft crisp Investment Memos.
  • Diligence Leadership (LDD/FDD/Tech/Commercial): Define diligence scope, select/manage external partners, and coordinate data-room requests.
  • Transaction Execution: Support term sheet design, valuation rationale, rights, and protections aligned to founder-friendly principles.
  • Portfolio Support & Follow-ons: Onboard new companies, track portfolio health, and prepare follow-on cases.
