We are seeking a talented Chief Android Software Engineer - Full Stack Development to join our team at Experian.

About the Role:

  • This is an exceptional opportunity to take on end-to-end responsibility for projects of increasing complexity, from technical design through completion and deployment.
  • You will participate in the full application lifecycle, including concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release management.
  • Your key focus areas will include writing clean, correct code incorporating feedback from code reviews, consistently following and enforcing best practices.
  • You will lead and/or mentor other developers, helping them improve their coding skills, work habits, and team collaboration.
  • You will exercise good judgment, evaluate assignments/requests, properly prioritize tasks and/or projects, and solve problems under pressure of deadlines and resource constraints.
  • You will take initiative, stay focused, and always be accountable, thriving in a fast-paced environment with the ability to focus on achieving the target while minding longer term goals along the way.
  • You will collaborate on API contracts which are documented and agreed upon by multiple stakeholders.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and a strong ability to present and defend technical and architectural choices persuasively.
  • You will investigate and prototype new technologies.
  • You will foresee future changes, lead the feature team to provide expandable and scalable solutions.
  • You will participate in cross-team engineering efforts such as improving code review system, build pipeline, monitoring, etc.

About You:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • You have 5.6 to 7 years of proven experience in Android application development.
  • You have a deep understanding of the Android framework.
  • You have a strong background implementing MVVM architecture in Android applications.
  • You are familiar with third-party libraries such as RxJava, Dagger, and Retrofit.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose is a plus.
  • You have experience consuming RESTful APIs with Android applications.
  • You are comfortable working in a team environment following the Agile methodology.
  • You understand Android UX and work closely with the design team to ensure UI designs are aligned with the current Android UI guidelines.
  • You are proficient in writing Kotlin code for all new development, with experience in working in Java.
  • You have an interest and ability to learn different technology stacks as needed.
  • You understand how to mock and provide end-to-end coverage for API components.
  • You have experience working with large code bases, working with a shared REST API library, and writing unit tests.
  • You are adept at creating rich user interactions using Jetpack components like navigation and transitions.
  • You have experience with offline storage, background processing, threading, and performance optimization.
  • You are able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment to deliver well-designed, reusable, and high-quality code on time.

Benefits:
