Job Summary:

We are seeking an Authorization Specialist to manage the prior authorization process for healthcare services. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills to ensure timely approvals from insurance providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify patient information, insurance coverage, and clinical documentation to support authorization requests.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate authorization requests.
  • Track and follow up on pending authorizations to avoid delays in patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of authorization requests, approvals, denials, and appeals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and payer guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
