Advanced Data Architect

Role Overview

This role involves designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data architectures that integrate high-performance data pipelines.

The successful candidate will develop and manage complex distributed data processing systems for both high-volume data streams and batch processing workflows in a cloud-native environment.

They will implement robust monitoring tools to ensure the reliability and scalability of the data platform.

Cross-functional collaboration is essential to deliver business-critical data solutions.

A strong understanding of data integrity, security, and governance principles is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines
  • Develop and manage complex distributed data processing systems
  • Implement robust monitoring and observability tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes
  • Maintain data integrity and security
  • Ensure data platform governance and compliance
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
Requirements

4-6 years of experience in backend development and/or data architecture engineering

Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience using data-focused libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SQLAlchemy, and Pandera

Strong expertise in AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, Kinesis, etc.)

Experience with multiple data storage models

Proven ability to design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance data workflows

Experience with workflow orchestrators such as Apache Airflow or Argo Workflows

Familiarity with Python-based data stack tools like DBT, Dask, Ray, Modin, and Pandas

Hands-on experience with data ingestion, cataloging, and change-data-capture (CDC) tools

Understanding of DataOps and DevSecOps practices

Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
