Job Title: Database Test Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Test Engineer to join our team at TETRAHED INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing test automation frameworks, writing clear and concise test plans, and ensuring the highest quality of our database solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product managers and developers to understand product requirements and design.
  • Document detailed functional and integration test cases.
  • Coordinate with developers, product managers, and other business stakeholders on test case review and identify missing and complex test case scenarios.
  • Test execution, publish test reports, and coordinate with product and program stakeholders.
  • Analyze server logs, DB, and provide other relevant details with a bug.
  • Track quality metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Design and develop test automation frameworks.
  • Develop mock/stub to test the functionality of a component in isolation.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in data testing.
  • Hands-on coding experience in Python.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and pub-sub technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud ecosystem - Azure and its services like - Azure storage; Data Bricks; Azure Data Factory; Azure SQL Databases and other SQL-based services.
  • Experience in working on Linux/Unix environment.
  • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, Cloud.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Outstanding problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
