Embedded Cybersecurity Expert Wanted

We are seeking a seasoned cybersecurity professional with expertise in embedded systems to lead our team's security initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of secure development lifecycle principles and be able to collaborate closely with our runtime team to ensure the security and integrity of our industrial automation solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the runtime team to implement Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) principles, meeting internal and external cybersecurity standards, regulatory compliance, and customer needs.
  • Provide expert guidance on architecting, designing, and threat modeling for members during the development cycle, as well as performing code reviews as part of the SDL process.
  • Evaluate, track, and resolve product and runtime cybersecurity issues and related technical debt in 3rd party packages, including CVEs, OS/package patches, and commercial/FOSS packages.
  • Tools and Technologies:
  • Management and use of tools for static and dynamic code analysis, such as Coverity, SQuORE, Halgrind, Valgrind, and CppCheck, as well as Software Composition Analysis tools like Black Duck Binary Analysis and Black Duck Hub.
  • Qualimetry Data Management:
  • Ensure qualimetry data is current and accessible for management, focusing on setup, regular/scheduled and on-demand scans, monitoring changes, and creating formal reports on branches.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (BS in Electrical, Computer Science, Robotics, or related discipline)
  • 8 - 12 years' experience in code development for multitask embedded systems running in Linux, VxWorks/RTOS, and Windows
  • Strong programming skills with object-oriented design (C/C++) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity issues common to C/C++, Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures, and IEC 62443-4-2
  • Familiarity with Open-source software (OSS), Git, GitHub, Debian GNU/Linux, Ubuntu
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional and global teams, and the ability to align and bring best-in-class processes and coding standards
