Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a seasoned backend engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, and scaling of our software systems.

About the Role:

  • As a backend engineer, you will be responsible for owning backend architecture, designing and implementing scalable and secure APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to adopt new changes and improvements.
  • You will work closely with technical leadership to prioritize long-term technical investments and ensure seamless integration with other engineering teams.
  • Additionally, you will mentor, lead, and hire other engineers, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning backend architecture, including design and implementation
  • Designing and evolving database schema to comply with business requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to adopt new changes and improvements
  • Improving performance, reliability, and security of the infrastructure
  • Mentorship, leadership, and hiring of other engineers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Expertise in application programming languages like Node, Java, Python
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale systems
  • Strong experience building microservices, scalable and secure APIs
  • Experience with cloud service providers like AWS, GCP
  • Knowledge of modern authentication mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token, OAuth
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
